FAQ

When does the game take place?
The game runs in real life time. So, current date and year. If it’s December 1st in real life, it’s December 1st in the game.

Where is “The City” located?

The City is in the United States, in New York. In this reality, there is no New York City. There is just "The City".

How does my character arrive?

Totally up to you! They might have walked through a doorway, woken up from a nap in a strange place, or even died only to end up very much alive in The City.

Where does my character arrive?

Anywhere in the city. Your choice.

Where will my character stay?

Those who are displaced will be invited to stay at the Umbrella Academy, but are not required to stay there.

What about money? How will character make a living?

Upon arrival, characters will be treated by The City as citizens, as if they have always resided there. With that said, they will be free to take jobs in whatever field they are eligible to work in.

But what about Season 2?
Don't worry about Season 2. We love it and we love all the development and we're not going to ignore it. But we wanted to have the game established without spoiling people for Season 2 if they haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Pretty soon, once the game is going, we are going to have an event that is going to allow us to integrate Season 2 into the game's narrative and let people work that into things. But for now, we're just moving forward with things without knowledge of Season 2.

Are underage characters allowed?

Yes, but all characters under the age of sixteen will be assigned a legal guardian and will be required to attend school in some form. Characters under the age of sixteen, or PBs under the age of sixteen, will not be permitted to be engaged in sexual situations and anyone who does not heed this rule will be kicked from the game without warning.

Can I play a character who is only mentioned in canon?

Yes, but they will be scrutinized just as closely as original characters. They need to be fleshed out and we need to see that in their bio.

Can I play an original character?

Knock yourself out! Original characters must come from a canon, though. Applications for original characters will be looked at a little more closely, so make sure you include as much information for us as possible.

What about AU characters?

We do not accept alternate versions of canon characters here.
